Wedding Highlights Film :: Drew + Danielle :: “The Best Catch” :: Kiawah Island, SC

Drew and Danielle love to live like to the fullest and make every day an adventure.  Never has that been more evident than during their wedding weekend.

They decided to spend their wedding weekend with their closest friends and family members in a beautiful ceremony down at Mingo Point on Kiawah Island.  It was an amazing day that allowed us to capture footage of them getting ready with their friends and family as well as some incredible shots on the beach for the first look and sunset pictures following the ceremony at Mingo Point.  The ceremony took place overlooking the sunset and water at Mingo Point.   There couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for these two to seal their vows to each other.

Following the ceremony, they had a reception for all of their friends and family, complete with oyster roast and a DJ that kept the dancing going well into the night. We absolutely loved the speeches given by their best man and maid of honor at the reception. They were the perfect testament to Drew and Danielle’s relationship and the minute we heard them, we knew they would make a perfect backdrop for their wedding film. It was truly a great celebration of their relationship and we are so happy we had the opportunity to tell the story of their day.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Jenn + Clint :: “Marriage Changes People” :: Sea Island, GA

What an amazing wedding this was.  We started the day at the Cloister at Sea Island spending time with Jenn and Clint and their friends and family.  It was a really casual atmosphere while they just enjoyed spending time with everyone while they were getting ready for their big day.

After we left the Cloister, Jenn and Clint wanted to head down to Avenue of the Oaks on St. Simons Island for their first look.  It is a beautiful location that offered the perfect backdrop for them to have a private moment with each other before their ceremony and offered us the perfect location to capture some footage of them just spending some time together before their ceremony.

Their ceremony was nothing short of perfect.  You couldn’t have asked for a better day for a wedding and the gardens at the Cloister were stunning. As we followed Jenn from the nearby chapel to the gardens as she walked along the path with her father, we knew we were in for a memorable ceremony… and they didn’t disappoint.

Their ceremony was followed up with a reception that was led by the We Got the Beat Band who kept the party going all night long.  It was a fun time as everyone celebrated Clint and Jenn and we were so happy we got to capture the story of their day as it unfolded.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Stephanie + Blake :: “One Lifetime With You” :: Sea Island, GA

We loved this wedding.

When Stephanie and Blake contacted us to film their wedding down on Sea Island, we jumped at the chance to work with these two.  Not only were they getting married at one of our favorite destinations, but after talking to them before the wedding, we knew we were in for a fun day.

When we arrived at The Cloister at Sea Island, we saw the rain clouds in the distance that were threatening our day.  Undeterred, we were able to enjoy the great weather for a little while and capture some aerial drone footage before we arrived as well as some excellent prep footage of everyone.  As the ceremony was drawing near, we decided to battle the rain and take Stephanie and Blake out to the Avenue of Oaks on St Simon’s Island for some footage of them together.  It’s there that we decided to do their first look and despite the constant battle with the weather, Stephanie and Blake were troopers and we were able to get some amazing footage of them in the beautiful surroundings.  It was such a quiet, intimate location that the two of them were able to let their guard down and just be themselves, which made for some epic footage.

During their ceremony, Stephanie and Blake decided to write their own vows, which, as you can see, was the perfect choice.  They spoke from their heart and you could feel the emotion in the room.  After hearing their vows and then the speeches at their reception, it was a no-brainer to build their highlights film around their words and the words of their friends.  All of that, combined with footage at the Cloister and their amazing party at the Beach Club makes this one of our favorites this year.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Ashley + Ronnie :: “A Kaleidoscope of Emotions” :: Wilmington, NC

Ashley and Ronnie’s wedding meant so much to us.  When Ashley contacted us last year about filming her wedding, she told us that she had been a fan of our work and known she was going to have us film her wedding for over 6 years.  Needless to say, that definitely put the pressure on to deliver something great for their wedding.

Of course, it didn’t hurt that Ashley and Ronnie got married at one of our favorite places on earth, Wilmington, NC, and had some of the most epic friends and family.  You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for their wedding.  Their venue was close to the waterfront in downtown Wilmington, so we were able to take them down to the boardwalk after their ceremony to capture some footage of them together.  Needless to say, with these two, those moments at the waterfront led to some pretty incredible footage.  When you combine that with the amazing speeches, beautiful vows, and insane reception they had for their wedding, it makes a pretty good recipe for a perfect day.

We absolutely loved working with these two. They have such a great story and I am so glad we were on hand to capture their big day…. and deliver on a video that has been 6 years in the making 🙂

Same Day Edit :: Jessica + David :: “That’s For Life” :: A Hotel Domestique Elopement

David and Jessica decided to do something crazy… then they invited us along for the ride… and we are so glad they did.  They contacted us about a week ago because they had plans to do an elopement at Hotel Domestique in Traveler’s Rest, SC and they wanted a Same Day Edit to post online to break the news of their wedding to their friends and family….. Well….. Here it is… SURPRISE!!!

David was graduating from grad school on Friday and their family would be in town, together to celebrate.  Their plan was to tell everyone their plans to get married on Sunday at David’s graduation on Friday night.  This way, they would have their closest family members in town and by their side for the big day.  As it turns out, things didn’t go exactly as planned and some travel plans were falling through.  So David and Jessica decided to break the news to their family a few days early to make sure everyone would be in town to celebrate with them.

This couple was so awesome.  I love how much fun they had while we were with them.  From running through the fields to the way David kept cracking Jessica up, you can see just how much fun these two had on their big day.  We are so honored they invited us to be a part of the elopement they wanted to share with their family and allowing us to be a part of the huge surprise for their friends with this Same Day Edit film.

Congratulations you two…. And thank you for bringing us along for the ride.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Natasha + Travis :: “Conquer the World Together” :: Cliffs at Glassy

As filmmakers, the thing we love most about filming weddings is the fact that every story is different.  We don’t go in with a script and as shot list like traditional films.  Instead, we watch the day unfold and create a story from a blank canvas.  We let the bride, the groom, their friends and their family put paint on the canvas and then we weave it all together into a portrait that tells the story of the couple and their day.

Sometimes, you get handed a true gem during the day, something that really stands out in your mind and you’re thinking to yourself the whole time “This is AWESOME!” For us, that moment happened during Travis and Natasha’s reception.  Everyone gave incredible speeches and told amazing stories, which made it difficult for us to narrow down exactly which ones to include in their highlights film, but in the end, we chose to use the ones that best told the story of the day.

We are really proud of the way this one turned out…. The story we were able to tell.  It’s a true testament to the love these two have for each other that their friends and family got so emotional while talking about them and their lives together.  It was definitely a wedding we will remember for quite some time.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Chris + Anna :: “One Kind of Wedding” :: Moore, SC

Chris and Anna’s wedding was special for us.  We had known Chris and Anna for a long time and were so happy when they invited us to be a part of their day.

I love the fact that Chris and Anna wrote their own vows for the day.  A lot of people overlook that detail when planning their wedding, but we have always felt it adds so much more emotion to the day… and Chris and Anna didn’t disappoint.  As they read their vows, you could feel their friends and family taking it all in with them.  It made the ceremony such an emotional experience and we knew we had to build their highlights video around their words.

Later in the evening, the epicness of their ceremony would be matched by their reception.  Since Chris and Anna had were huge fans of dueling piano shows, they hired some local piano players to entertain their guests during cocktail hour.  Then, things got really crazy as the DJ took over and the party began. As you can tell in the highlights film, it was an amazing event and definitely a day we won’t soon forget.

Wedding Film :: Graeson + Kyle :: “Immeasurably More” :: Anderson, SC

We’re going to take you on a little journey with this wedding.  I absolutely love the story we got to tell with Graeson and Kyle’s wedding.  There was so much emotion, so much love, and so much joy throughout the day.  Everyone was crying… Graeson was crying… Kyle was crying… Graeson’s and Kyle’s parents were crying… The wedding party was crying… Guests were crying… We may have even cried a time or two. It’s just all a testament to the love Graeson and Kyle have for each other, how they give the glory to God for bringing them together, and how they let that show to the world.

Not gonna lie… We were all a little nervous about the weather at this wedding… And when I say “A little nervous…” I mean “Everyone was freaking out.”  When we arrived at the Oaks to start getting everything ready for the ceremony, the bottom fell out…. thunder, lightening, rain, the whole 9 yards.  With just a few hours before ceremony time, plans were starting to be made to move the ceremony inside.  As it got closer, it looked like everything would take place inside, but at the last minute, the call was made to push the wedding back a little bit, let the guests enjoy their time mingling inside, and wait just a little longer to see if the rain cleared up.

About an hour later, that time came.  We looked at the radar and found out that we had a few minutes of clear weather and made a break for it.  It may have been the quickest wedding setup and staging in the history of The Oaks, but Angie Culpepper and her team made it happen and Graeson got her wish of being married outside, with the beautiful lake view behind them.

It was absolutely gorgeous and from that moment on, the skies were clear and the rest of the day was picture perfect.  We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome as we celebrated Kyle and Graeson coming together with everyone.  It was truly a magical moment and one we are so happy we got to be a part of.  We hope you enjoy watching their story unfold.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Grant + Justin :: “A Dream You Dream Together” :: Toccoa Falls, GA

When a bride calls you and tell you that they are getting married outside in front of a waterfall, it doesn’t take you too long to say “Yes” to that wedding.  We knew we were in for a special treat with Justin and Grant’s wedding and couldn’t wait to be a part of their big day.

We started the day in Anderson at the Vintage Hair Loft in Anderson with our friend and photographer, Josh Wilson. While we were there, we had a great time capturing footage of Grant and her mom laughing and having fun before heading down to Toccoa.

As we arrived in Toccoa, the scene was more beautiful than we could have imagined.  Everything was perfect from the weather to the setting.  Grant and Justin even had a bluegrass band playing during their ceremony which was a nice touch and gave us the inspiration for the song we chose for their wedding highlights film.  It was such a fun wedding full of laughter and joy and we are so glad we were on hand to capture everything for them.

Wedding Film :: Sam + Dana :: “Live Love and Live Long :: Charleston, SC :: The Citadel

We were so excited when Sam and Dana asked us to be a part of their wedding celebration at the Citadel in Charleston.  We always have an amazing time when we visit Charleston and film at the Citadel and we knew their wedding wouldn’t disappoint.

When we arrived in town, we joined Dana and her bridesmaids at Lordis Salon and Spa in downtown Charleston to capture some footage of them getting ready. We had a great time laughing and enjoying the day with them before heading over to the beach house where Sam was getting ready.  After scoping out the beach house, we found an amazing place for Sam to get ready.  The beach house had a third story ocean view porch that made the perfect backdrop for him to get dressed.  Easily some of our favorite footage from the day.

When the time came for the ceremony, it was absolutely gorgeous inside the Citadel chapel.  Sam and Dana said their vows in front of their friends and family before making their exit and heading over to the Holliday Alumni Center on the Citadel campus.  It was an amazing night as Sam and Dana celebrated their new marriage with all of their friends and family.
